The UVD Robot Pharma is a robot, or a self-driving robot, that uses Ultraviolet C (UV-C) light to inactivate microorganisms on surfaces that light hits. The UVD Robot Pharma operates by sensing its environment and moving independently of human interaction, emitting UV-C light that is able to disinfect surfaces.
We typically see two primary cleanroom applications:
1. Add-on disinfection layer: Used as a supplemental disinfection method to reduce CFU counts and contamination risk (e.g. in Class D/C corridors)
2. Hybrid replacement of chemical disinfection: UV disinfection replaces a majority of manual chemical procedures, reducing use of WFI, labor, and room turnaround time.
It depends on the layout, size and microorganism that is targeted but a rule of thumb is that the UVD Robot Pharma can disinfect a 25m2 (269 sq ft) room in approximately 10 minutes or less in its autonomous disinfection mode.
Yes. The system is compliant with CFR 21 Part 11, featuring secure login, audit trails, and validated data logging.
The UVD Robot Pharma will disinfect any hard, non-porous area that the UV-C light hits. This includes floors, walls, and other objects.
